Gainswave Renton WA - THE SUPERIOR CHOICE
WHAT IS GAINSWAVE, I.E. SHOCKWAVE, THERAPY?
GAINSWave, also known as shockwave therapy, uses low-intensity sound waves to repair aging blood vessels, increase blood flow to the penis, stimulate angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels), and remove decades of micro-plaques in vessels of the penis. GAINSWave is a specific shockwave protocol that optimizes efficacy, safety, and results.
DR. KASS AND GAINSWAVE RENTON - THE SUPERIOR CHOICE
Dr. Kate Kass piloted the GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines, and was the first practitioner to bring it to the Renton area. She has conducted more shockwave therapy treatments than any other physician in the state. Dr. Kass uses an FDA-approved, focused shockwave device to ensure that her patients receive optimal results. Most practitioners in Washington state use a radial device which is not as well-supported by the evidence. Dr. Kass uses evidence-based protocols from published shockwave studies.
IS SHOCKWAVE THERAPY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Do you experience erectile dysfunction?
For most men experiencing ED or any declining quality of erections, GAINSWave can be a powerful tool. This treatment is a safe therapy that has been proven to be an effective alternative to ED medications. If applied correctly, shockwave therapy has shown no serious side effects. Many men report improved erections soon after their initial treatment.
Are you simply seeking improved male performance?
Most men can appreciate benefits from GAINSWave therapy. If you want to increase your sexual satisfaction and perform your best, shockwave therapy can help.
Do you suffer from Peyronie’s Disease?
GAINSWave therapy is an effective tool that can help reduce the curvature of the penis and diminish scar tissue, both characteristics of Peyronie’s Disease.
GAINSWAVE (AKA SHOCKWAVE THERAPY) - HOW IT WORKS
GAINSWave works via three mechanisms:
Shockwave therapy has been proven in multiple studies to improve endothelial function (strengthening the lining of the blood vessels), stimulate the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis), as well as enhance the growth of new nerve tissue (neurogenesis). Regeneration of blood vessels and nerve tissue addresses the root cause of erectile dysfunction, resulting in firmer, more sustainable, and more sensitive erections.
High-frequency acoustic waves stimulate the production of nitric oxide synthase within the vessels in the penis. This brings increased blood flow that results in the dilation of vessels to the existing blood vessels in the penis.
Shockwave therapy eradicates micro-plaques, enhancing the health of the vessels and increasing blood in the penis, allowing them to dilate and fill with blood. As a result, most men appreciate stronger, harder, and more sustainable erections in just 6–12 treatments. This process of angiogenesis and neurogenesis increases sensitivity in the penis.
YOUR GAINSWAVE PROCEDURE
Patients should arrive 30 minutes prior to treatment so a numbing cream can be applied. (For follow-up treatments, the numbing cream can be applied at home before your appointment.) During the 20–30 minute procedure, Dr. Kass uses the GAINSWave-trademarked equipment and protocol. That’s it! You can then resume your day with no downtime.
While results vary, 75 percent of men report positive results following their treatment, with some experiencing a spontaneous erection within the first day.
CAN SHOCKWAVE THERAPY BE PAINFUL OR EMBARRASSING?
For most men - the answer is no. This quick procedure is non-invasive and pain-free. Dr. Kass has conducted hundreds of GAINSWave treatments on male patients for ED, Peyronie’s Disease, and to help improve sexual wellness, performing approximately 3–7 treatments every day. She and her staff are experts in ED, and their discreet, professional service ensures that patients feel comfortable and confident throughout the procedure.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY - IS THERE DOWNTIME FOLLOWING TREATMENT?
There is no downtime following GAINSWave therapy treatments. In fact, Dr. Kass suggests that patients engage in sexual activity soon after the procedure to encourage blood flow to the treated area.
HOW SOON DO PATIENTS SEE RESULTS?
The process of new vessel formation may take a few months; however, some men report immediate improvement. Because nitric oxide (a vasodilator) is released in the bloodstream during the procedure, many shockwave therapy patients even report having nocturnal or morning erections the first day.
HOW MANY GAINSWAVE THERAPY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Depending on individual goals, patients typically need between 6–12 treatments. Dr. Kass offers GAINSWave preventative maintenance programs in Seattle, Renton and surrounding areas to optimize performance and maintain results.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY RESULTS - HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The effects of GAINSWAVE therapy have been medically proven to last between one and two years. A recent European study using Doppler ultrasound imaging demonstrated that patients saw improved blood flow in the penis one year after treatment.
Nearly 75% of men with erectile dysfunction appreciated a reversal of their condition and reported enhanced sexual performance following shockwave therapy treatments. Following GAINSWave therapy procedures, most patients with erectile dysfunction were able to reduce or discontinue their oral ED medications.
DR. KASS - YOUR BEST CHOICE AS A GAINSWAVE RENTON PROVIDER
Dr. Kate Kass piloted the original GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines. She was one of the few doctors in the U.S. to initially appreciate the potential of GAINSWave therapy for treating patients with erectile dysfunction.
Our clinic is dedicated to having a doctor or nurse perform the treatment - as opposed to many other clinics where non-medical staff often conducts this procedure.
Dr. Kass brings a comprehensive approach to treating ED and assisting men who just want to enhance their sexual performance. She spends an average of one hour with each patient during the initial appointment to assess his lifestyle and health history. A comprehensive blood panel is then ordered to ensure a thorough evaluation of everything from thyroid function to cardiovascular health and testosterone levels, all of which may contribute to ED.
Patients usually begin their treatment package on the first day. Then Dr. Kass reviews lab work during a follow-up visit, along with any other variables that may be contributing to erectile dysfunction - or whatever issue they may be experiencing. Dr. Kass often combines GAINSWave therapy treatments with the platelet-rich plasma (P-Shot) for optimal results.
TECHNOLOGY matters
Dr. Kass uses “radial” and “focused” shockwave devices, both approved by the FDA to address musculoskeletal issues. There are in excess of 40 studies supporting the efficacy of shockwave therapy for erectile dysfunction, most of which use a focused shockwave device. Dr. Kass employs radial and focused devices manufactured by Storz Medical, an industry leader that backs its technology with over 75 years of medical research and development. These are both “classified medical” devices and can only be purchased and overseen by a medical professional.
Whereas a radial device affects shallower tissue, the focused device is more powerful and penetrates deeper into the tissue. The focused device casts a shockwave similar to a laser beam - compared to a radial device that transmits a wider, shallower beam. The focused shockwave device, backed by the majority of the literature, creates a deeper and more intense response in the tissue so it is more effective at treating moderate to severe cases of ED than the radial device. Most clinics don’s offer focused shockwave therapy - likely because these devices require higher level medical providers to operate them (i.e. a doctor or registered nurse) and are more costly. Dr. Kass is dedicated to providing the most effective and evidence-based solutions, so she elects to offer both radial and focused shockwave therapy.
Ever since shockwave therapy became popular in the U.S., companies have developed sub-standard devices that they say are capable of treating erectile dysfunction. Many devices are even sold directly to consumers - and can even be purchased on Amazon! However, it’s important to recognize that the efficacy of these devices has not been proven and they should be used with extreme caution, if at all.
GAINSWAVE THERAPY TREATMENTS - SUPERIOR TO OTHER ED SOLUTIONS
Shockwave may seem almost too good to be true, however, it’s a proven solution.

WHAT THE RESEARCH SAYS ABOUT GAINSWAVE THERAPY
For over 15 years, shockwave therapy has been proven to be highly effective in Europe. Doctors in China and Japan have been using shockwave therapy to help blood flow in the heart to address coronary artery issues. The treatment has proven to be a mechanism that aids in vasodilation, as evidenced by these two studies:

SHOCKWAVE AND ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION MEDICATION - A COMPARISON
With shockwave therapy, there is no need to take pills or spend a lot of money to constantly refill expensive prescriptions. Additionally, patients don’t have to experience the harmful side effects that can be associated with oral ED medications. GAINSWave therapy is ideal for men who are unable to take oral erectile dysfunction medications, such as men with heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure. And, unlike oral ED drugs such as Viagra, GAINSWave can also treat Peyronie’s Disease.
