GAINSWave Bellevue WA
Non-invasive SHockwave ED Treatment
WHAT IS GAINSWAVE, I.E. SHOCKWAVE, THERAPY?
GAINSWave, also known as shockwave therapy, uses low-intensity sound waves to increase blood flow to the penis, stimulate angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels), repair aged blood vessels, and remove decades of micro-plaques in vessels of the penis. GAINSWave is a specific shockwave protocol designed to optimize efficacy, safety, and results.
WHY CHOOSE DR. KASS AND GAINSWAVE BELLEVUE
Dr. Kate Kass piloted the GAINSWave program in the Seattle Bellevue area, and has conducted more shockwave therapy treatments than any other doctor in Washington State. She uses an evidence-based, FDA-approved shockwave device to ensure her patients receive optimal results. Most practitioners in Washington state use a radial device which is not as well-supported by the evidence. And Dr. Kass heeds protocols that have been indicated to be the most effective according to leading industry literature.
IS GAINSWAVE BELLEVUE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Do you experience erectile dysfunction?
For most men experiencing ED or any declining quality of erections, shockwave therapy can be a powerful tool. This treatment is a safe therapy that has been proven to be an effective alternative to other ED medications. If applied correctly, shockwave therapy has shown no serious side effects. Many men will appreciate improved erections within days of their first treatment.Do you suffer from Peyronie’s Disease?
GAINSWave is an effective tool that helps break down scar tissue and reduce the curvature of the penis, both characteristics of Peyronie’s Disease. Are you simply seeking improved male performance?
Any man can see benefits from shockwave therapy. If you want to increase sexual satisfaction and perform your best, GAINSWave can help.
HOW DOES GAINSWAVE (AKA SHOCKWAVE THERAPY) WORK?
GAINSWave works via three mechanisms:
High-frequency acoustic waves stimulate the production of nitric oxide synthase within the vessels in the penis. This enables the dilation of vessels and brings increased blood flow to the existing blood vessels in the penis.
GAINSWave treatment has been proven in multiple studies to stimulate the growth of new nerve tissue (neurogenesis) as well as the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis).Regeneration of blood vessels and nerve tissue addresses the root cause of erectile dysfunction, resulting in firmer, more sustainable, and more sensitive erections.
Shockwave therapy eradicates micro-plaques, increasing blood in the penis and improving the health of the vessels, allowing them to dilate and fill with blood. As a result, most men appreciate harder, stronger, and more sustainable erections in just 6–12 treatments. This process of angiogenesis and neurogenesis increases sensitivity in the penis.
YOUR GAINSWAVE PROCEDURE - WHAT TO EXPECT
You should arrive 30 minutes prior to your treatment so a numbing cream can be applied. (For follow-up treatments, you can apply the numbing cream at home before your appointment.) During the 20–30 minute procedure, Dr. Kass will use the GAINSWave-trademarked protocol and equipment. That’s it! You can then resume your day with no downtime.
And while results vary, after the treatment, 75 percent of men report positive test results, with some experiencing a spontaneous erection within the first day.
IS SHOCKWAVE THERAPY EMBARRASSING OR PAINFUL?
The simple answer is no. This quick procedure is completely painless and non-invasive. Dr. Kass has conducted hundreds of shockwave (GAINSWave) treatments on male patients for ED, Peyronie’s Disease, and to help enhance sexual wellness. Dr. Kass performs approximately 3–7 treatments every day. She and her staff are experts in ED, and their discreet, professional service enables patients to feel comfortable and confident throughout the process.
IS THERE DOWNTIME AFTER A SHOCKWAVE THERAPY TREATMENT?
There is no downtime following a GAINSWave treatment. As a matter of fact, Dr. Kass encourages sexual activity soon after the procedure to encourage blood flow to the treated area.
HOW SOON DO MEN SEE RESULTS?
Despite the fact that the process of new vessel formation may take several months, some men show improvement immediately. In fact, because nitric oxide (a vasodilator) is released in the bloodstream during the procedure, many shockwave therapy patients can have morning or nocturnal erections the first day.
HOW MANY GAINSWAVE TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Depending on their goals, patients typically need 6–12 treatments. Dr. Kass offers GAINSWave preventative maintenance programs in Bellevue, Seattle, and surrounding areas to optimize performance and maintain results.
HOW LONG DO GAINSWAVE RESULTS LAST?
The effects of GAINSWave therapy have been medically proven to last between one and two years. A recent European study employing Doppler ultrasound imaging showed that patients had improved blood flow in the penis one year after treatment.
Nearly 75% of men with ED reported improved sexual performance and appreciated a reversal of their condition following GAINSWave treatment. Following shockwave therapy procedures, the majority of patients with ED were able to reduce or discontinue their oral ED medications.
WHY DR. KASS SHOULD BE YOUR CHOICE AS A GAINSWAVE BELLEVUE PROVIDER
Dr. Kate Kass piloted the original GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines. She was one of the only doctors in the United States to initially see the potential and start treating ED patients with shockwave therapy. She has performed more GAINSWave treatments in the area than any other doctor.
Our clinic is dedicated to having a doctor or nurse perform the treatment - as opposed to other clinics where non-medical staff often conducts this therapy.
Dr. Kass brings a comprehensive approach to treating ED and helping men who simply want to enhance sexual performance. Upon arrival, Dr. Kass spends an average of one hour with each patient to review his lifestyle and health history. She then orders a comprehensive blood panel to ensure a thorough evaluation of everything from testosterone levels and thyroid function to cardiovascular health, all of which can contribute to erectile dysfunction.
Patients typically start their treatment package on the first day. During a follow-up visit, Dr. Kass reviews lab work along with any other variables that may be contributing to erectile dysfunction - or whatever issue they are experiencing. Dr. Kass often combines shockwave therapy treatments with the platelet-rich plasma (P-Shot) for maximum results.
THE TECHNOLOGY DIFFERENCE
Dr. Kass uses “radial” and “focused” shockwave devices that are both approved by the FDA for musculoskeletal issues. There are more than 40 studies that support the effectiveness of shockwave therapy for erectile dysfunction, most of which employ a focused shockwave device. Dr. Kass employs radial and focused devices manufactured by industry leader Storz Medical, which leverages more than 75 years of medical research and development. These are both “classified medical” devices - which can only be purchased and overseen by a medical professional.
Whereas the radial device affects shallower tissue, a focused device is a more powerful device that penetrates deeper into the tissue. The focused device emits a wave similar to a laser beam - compared to a radial device that transmits a shallower, wider beam. The focused shockwave device, with the support of the majority of the literature, creates a deeper and more intense response in the tissue, so it is more effective at treating moderate to severe cases of ED. Most clinics don’t offer focused shockwave therapy - perhaps because these devices are more costly and require higher level medical providers to operate them (i.e. a doctor or registered nurse). Because Dr. Kass is dedicated to providing the most effective and evidence-based solutions, she chooses to offer both radial and focused shockwave therapy.
Ever since shockwave therapy became popular in the United States, several companies have developed sub-par devices purportedly capable of treating erectile dysfunction. Many are sold directly to consumers - and can even be purchased on Amazon! However, men should note that the efficacy of these devices has not been medically proven and they should be used with extreme caution, if at all.
HOW DO GAINSWAVE SHOCKWAVE THERAPY TREATMENTS DIFFER FROM OTHER ED SOLUTIONS?
GAINSWave seems almost too good to be true, but it’s a proven solution.
GAINSWave therapy:
Is non-invasive, with little or no known side effects
Is drug- and surgery-free
Is a straightforward, in-office procedure taking only approximately 20-30 minutes per treatment
Addresses the root cause of erectile dysfunction: poor blood flow
Provides long-lasting results with no downtime
WHAT DOES THE RESEARCH SAY ABOUT GAINSWAVE?
GAINSWave therapy, or shockwave therapy, has been proven to be highly effective in Europe for more than 15 years. Doctors in Japan and China are using shockwave therapy to address coronary artery issues to help blood flow in the heart. The treatment has proven to be a mechanism that aids in vasodilation, as evidenced by these two studies:
Extracorporeal shock wave therapy for ischemic cardiovascular disorders
Cardiac shockwave therapy in patients with chronic refractory angina pectoris
In addition, over 40 studies confirm the effectiveness of GAINSWave’s shockwave treatment. Here are just a few:
A First Prospective, Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Clinical Trial
