GAINSWave Redmond WA
Non-Invasive Shockwave ED Treatment
GAINSWAVE, I.E. SHOCKWAVE THERAPY, EXPLAINED
GAINSWave, also known as shockwave therapy, utilizes low-intensity sound waves to repair aged blood vessels, enhance blood flow to the penis, stimulate angiogenesis (growth of new blood vessels), and remove decades of micro-plaques in vessels of the penis. GAINSWave is a specific shockwave protocol designed to optimize safety, efficacy, and results.
DR. KASS - THE SUPERIOR CHOICE FOR GAINSWAVE THERAPY IN REDMOND
As the first doctor to pilot the GAINSWAVE program in the Seattle Redmond area, Dr. Kass is a leader in shockwave therapy for erectile dysfunction. She has performed more shockwave therapy treatments than any other doctor on the West Coast. Dr. Kass uses an FDA-approved, focused shockwave device to ensure that her patients receive optimal results. The majority of practitioners in Washington state use a radial device which is not as well-supported by medical evidence. Dr. Kass uses evidence-based protocols from published shockwave studies.
IS SHOCKWAVE THERAPY FOR YOU?
Do you suffer from erectile dysfunction?
Shockwave therapy can be a potent tool for many men experiencing erectile dysfunction or any declining quality of erections. GAINSWave therapy has proven to be a safe and effective alternative to other ED medications. Shockwave therapy, when applied correctly, has no documented serious side effects and most men see enhanced erections within days of their initial treatment.Do you experience Peyronie’s Disease?
GAINSWave may be an effective tool to help soften scar tissue and diminish the curvature of the penis. Are you seeking enhanced male performance?
Most men will appreciate benefits following shockwave therapy treatments. GAINSWave can help increase your sexual satisfaction as well as make you perform your best.
GAINSWAVE (AKA SHOCKWAVE THERAPY) EXPLAINED
GAINSWave works in three ways:
The production of nitric oxide synthase within the vessels in the penis is stimulated via high-frequency acoustic waves. This enhances blood flow through dilated vessels, brings increased blood flow to the existing blood vessels in the penis.
Study after study has proven that GAINSWave treatment effectively stimulates the growth of new nerve tissue (neurogenesis) and the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). The root cause of ED is addressed by this regeneration of blood vessels and nerve tissue, bringing about erections that are firmer, more sustainable, and more sensitive.
GAINSWave destroys micro-plaques, increasing blood flow in the penis, and enhancing the health of the vessels, allowing them to dilate and fill with blood. As a result, most men appreciate harder, stronger, and more sustainable erections in just 6–12 treatments.
This process of angiogenesis and neurogenesis increases sensitivity in the penis.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR GAINSWAVE PROCEDURE
You should arrive a half an hour before your appointment so a numbing cream can be applied. (Following your initial treatment, the numbing cream can be applied at home before your appointment.) During the 20–30 minute procedure, Dr. Kass employs the GAINSWave-trademarked protocol and equipment. That all there is to it! Following your treatment, you won’t need any downtime.
Approximately 75 percent of patients report positive results with some men experiencing a spontaneous erection within 24 hours.
CAN GAINSWAVE THERAPY BE PAINFUL OR EMBARRASSING?
The majority of patients do not experience pain during or following shockwave therapy. Because Dr. Kass has delivered hundreds of GAINSWAVE (shockwave therapy) treatments to male patients for erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s Disease, and improved sexual wellness - averaging 3–7 treatments per day, she understands her patients’ needs and is able to ensure a pain-free experience. Dr. Kass and her staff are experts in erectile dysfunction, and their professional, personalized service ensures that patients feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. The majority of Dr. Kass’s patients leave the office with better sexual performance and satisfaction.
WILL THERE BE ANY DOWNTIME AFTER A GAINSWAVE TREATMENT?
There is no downtime after a GAINSWave treatment. Instead, you are encouraged to commence sexual activity as soon as possible following the procedure to encourage blood flow to the treated area.
HOW QUICKLY DO PATIENTS APPRECIATE RESULTS?
Many men report immediate improvement, even though the process of new vessel formation may take 3-4 months. In fact, because nitric oxide (a vasodilator) is released in the bloodstream during the procedure, many men can have morning or nocturnal erections the first day following their GAINSWave treatment.
HOW MANY SHOCKWAVE THERAPY TREATMENTS DO YOU NEED?
On average, patients will need between six and twelve treatments, depending on their goals. Dr. Kass offers GAINSWave preventative maintenance programs in Redmond, Seattle, and surrounding areas to maintain results and optimize performance.
GAINSWAVE RESULTS - HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The effects of shockwave therapy have been medically proven to last up to two years. A recent European study using Doppler ultrasound imaging reported that patients had demonstrably improved hemodynamics (blood flow) in the penis one year following treatment.
Almost 75% of men with erectile dysfunction saw a reversal of their condition and reported enhanced sexual performance following their after GAINSWave treatments. Most patients with erectile dysfunction reduced or discontinued oral ED medications after receiving the shockwave therapy procedure.
DR. KASS - YOUR BEST CHOICE FOR A GAINSWAVE PROVIDER IN REDMOND
Dr. Kate Kass piloted the original GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines. She was one of the only doctors in the US to initially appreciate the potential of shockwave therapy and begin using it to treat erectile dysfunction patients. She has performed more GAINSWave treatments in Washington state than any other doctor in the region.
Whereas many clinics turn to non-medical staff to conduct this kind of therapy, our clinic is dedicated to having a doctor or nurse perform the treatment.
Dr. Kass takes a comprehensive approach to treating ED and sexual performance issues. During the initial appointment, Dr. Kass will spend about an hour with each patient, conducting a thorough review of his lifestyle and health history. A comprehensive blood panel is then ordered, allowing for a thorough evaluation of everything from testosterone levels and thyroid function to cardiovascular health, all of which may be contributors to ED.
Most patients begin their treatment on the first day. Dr. Kass will conduct a follow-up visit during which she reviews lab work along with any other variables that may be contributing to ED. Dr. Kass often may shockwave GAINSWave therapy with the platelet-rich plasma (P-Shot) for optimum results.
THE RIGHT TECHNOLOGY
Dr. Kass uses two kinds of shockwave devices - “radial” and “focused”, both backed with FDA approval for musculoskeletal issues. These devices are backed by over than 40 studies that support the efficacy of shockwave therapy for ED, the majority of which use a focused shockwave device. Dr. Kass uses radial and focused devices manufactured by Storz Medical, an industry leader which leverages over 75 years of medical R&D. Both “classified medical” devices, they can only be purchased and overseen by a medical professional.
Whereas a focused device is a more powerful device that penetrates deeper into the tissue, the radial device affects shallower tissue. The focused device casts a shockwave that is similar to a laser beam - compared to a radial device that transmits a wider, shallower beam. With the support of the majority of the literature, the focused shockwave device creates a deeper and more intense response in the tissue - resulting in the most effective shockwave treatment for moderate to severe cases of ED. Because these devices require higher level medical providers to operate them (i.e. a doctor or registered nurse) and are more costly, it is rare to find a clinic that offers focused shockwave therapy. Because Dr. Kass is dedicated to providing the most effective and evidence-based solutions, she chooses to offer both radial and focused shockwave therapy.
As soon as shockwave therapy became popular in the U.S., companies began developed sub-par devices that they say are capable of treating erectile dysfunction. Several are even sold directly to consumers - and can even be purchased on Amazon! However, it’s important to consider that the efficacy of these devices has not been medically proven and they should be used with extreme caution, if at all.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY - AN IMPROVEMENT OVER OTHER ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION TREATMENTS
GAINSWave, or shockwave therapy, seems almost too good to be true, but it’s the real deal.
GAINSWave therapy:
Is surgery and drug-free
Each treatment takes only 20-30 minutes and it’s a simple in-office procedure
Is non-invasive, with little or no known side effects
Addresses poor blood flow - the root cause of erectile dysfunction
Provides long-lasting results with no downtime
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY - PROVEN TO BE EFFECTIVE
Absolutely! GAINSWave therapy, or shockwave therapy, has been used to great success in Europe for more than 15 years. In Japan and China, doctors are using shockwave therapy to help with coronary artery issues to help blood flow in the heart.
The treatment has proven to be a mechanism that aids in vasodilation, as evidenced by these two studies:
Extracorporeal shock wave therapy for ischemic cardiovascular disorders
Cardiac shockwave therapy in patients with chronic refractory angina pectoris
In addition, more than 40 controlled studies confirm the effectiveness of GAINSWave’s shockwave treatment. Here are just a few:
Penile Low-Intensity Shock Wave Therapy: A Promising Novel Modality for Erectile Dysfunction

WHY IS GAINSWAVE REDMOND PREFERABLE TO OTHER TREATMENTS FOR ED?
Shockwave therapy does not have any of the harmful side effects that are associated with oral erectile dysfunction drugs. In fact, with GAINSWave, there are no expensive prescriptions to refill or pills to take. Shockwave therapy is a great choice for patients who can’t take oral ED medications, such as men with heart disease, diabetes, or high blood pressure. And GAINSWave can also help men suffering from Peyronie’s Disease, something Viagra and other oral ED drugs can’t do.
