GAINSWave Kirkland
Non-Invasive Shockwave ED Treatment
GAINSWAVE, I.E. SHOCKWAVE, THERAPY: AN OVERVIEW
GAINSWave, also known as shockwave therapy, utilizes low-intensity sound waves to enhance blood flow to the penis, repair aging blood vessels, stimulate angiogenesis (the growth of new blood vessels), and remove decades of micro-plaques in vessels of the penis. GAINSWave is a shockwave protocol designed specifically to optimize results, efficacy, and safety.
CHOOSE DR. KASS FOR EVIDENCE-BASED GAINSWAVE THERAPY IN KIRKLAND
Dr. Kate Kass leads the shockwave therapy industry, as the first practitioner to bring GAINSWave to the West Coast and Kirkland. She has conducted more GAINSWave therapy treatments for erectile dysfunction than any other doctor in the area. Dr. Kass’s chief aim is to ensure her patients receive the most effective treatment available - so she uses an FDA-approved focused shockwave device. Most practitioners in Washington state use a radial device which is not as well-supported by the evidence. And Dr. Kass makes sure she stays on the cutting edge of the industry, leveraging shockwave therapy protocols based on the most effective treatments outlined in leading industry literature.
IS SHOCKWAVE THERAPY YOUR BEST TREATMENT OPTION?
Do you experience ED?
For men experiencing erectile dysfunction or a reduced quality of erections, GAINSWave can be an effective tool. Shockwave therapy has been proven to be a safe and highly effective alternative to ED medications. This treatment has not resulted in any serious side effects, when applied correctly. And most men have reported improved erections within days of their first treatment.Do you suffer from Peyronie’s Disease?
By helping break down scar tissue, GAINSWave has been known to reduce pain and penis curvature, both characteristics of Peyronie’s Disease.Do you want to improve your sexual performance?
Most men appreciate significant benefits from shockwave therapy. If you want to enhance sexual satisfaction and perform your best, GAINSWave can help.
UNDERSTANDING GAINSWAVE (AKA SHOCKWAVE) THERAPY
GAINSWave works via three mechanisms:
GAINSWave treatment has been proven time and again to effectively stimulate the growth of new nerve tissue (neurogenesis) as well as the growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). That’s what makes shockwave therapy so effective - it addresses the root cause of ED by regenerating blood vessels and nerve tissue, resulting in firmer, more sustainable, and more sensitive erections.
High-frequency acoustic waves stimulate the production of nitric oxide synthase within the vessels in the penis, thereby increasing blood flow through dilated vessels, bringing increased blood flow to the existing blood vessels in the penis.
GAINSWave removes micro-plaques which increases blood flow in the penis and enhances the health of the vessels, enabling them to dilate and fill with blood. Following just 6-12 treatments, most men have harder, stronger, and more sustainable erections.
This process of angiogenesis and neurogenesis increases sensitivity in the penis.
YOUR GAINSWAVE PROCEDURE - AN OVERVIEW
Patients need to arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment for the application of a numbing. (For follow-up treatments, you can apply this numbing cream at home before coming in.) During the 20–30 minute procedure, Dr. Kass treats patients employing the GAINSWave trademarked protocol and equipment. Then you’re all done - you can resume your day with no downtime.
While results may vary, approximately 75 percent of men report positive results following their treatment, with some experiencing a spontaneous erection within 24 hours.
CAN SHOCKWAVE THERAPY BE EMBARRASSING OR PAINFUL?
The majority of Dr. Kass’s patients report that this non-invasive, 20-minute procedure is completely pain-free. Dr. Kass has delivered hundreds of shockwave (GAINSWave) treatments to male patients experiencing ED or Peyronie’s Disease, as well as men seeking improved sexual performance. Dr. Kass performs an average of 3–7 treatments per day. As experts in erectile dysfunction, Dr. Kass and her staff are discreet and highly professional, allowing patients to feel confident and comfortable throughout the process. Following the procedure, the majority of her patients report better sexual performance and enhanced satisfaction.
Here’s what one patient had to say:
“Dr. Kass made an uncomfortable discussion comfortable in the first five minutes of my visit. I knew immediately I was working with a doctor who was an expert at treating ED, had prepared protocols, and clearly performed many treatments. What I thought was going to be embarrassing or awkward was actually a breeze. The GAINSWave and PRP were fairly painless and Dr. Kass had an excellent bedside manner. I’m noticing some promising improvements three weeks into treatments.”

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A SHOCKWAVE THERAPY TREATMENT?
GAINSWAVE treatments do not necessitate any downtime. Dr. Kass is actually a proponent of starting sexual activity as soon as possible after the procedure to encourage blood flow to the treated area.
WHEN WILL YOU SEE RESULTS?
While the process of new vessel formation can take 3–4 months, a number of men report immediate improvement. In fact, within a day, many GAINSWave patients have morning or nocturnal erections because nitric oxide (a vasodilator) is released in the bloodstream during the procedure.
SHOCKWAVE THERAPY - HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
Patients need an average of 6–12 treatments, depending on their unique goals. Dr. Kass offers GAINSWave preventative maintenance programs in Kirkland, Seattle, and surrounding areas to maintain results and optimize performance.
HOW LONG DO GAINSWAVE RESULTS LAST?
Shockwave therapy has demonstrated medically-proven results that last between one and two years. A recent European study using Doppler ultrasound imaging demonstrated improved blood flow in the penis of patients using GAINSWave therapy for one year after treatment.
The vast majority of men with ED - nearly 75% - appreciated a reversal of their condition following shockwave therapy, reporting improved sexual performance. Most patients with erectile dysfunction were able to reduce oral ED medications or discontinue entirely following their GAINSWave procedure.
CHOOSE DR. KASS AS YOUR GAINSWAVE KIRKLAND PROVIDER
Dr. Kate Kass piloted the original GAINSWave program with Dr. Gaines, and was one of the only doctors in the US to see the potential of shockwave therapy for treating ED. Additionally - she has performed more GAINSWave treatments in Washington state than any other physician.
Unlike other clinics where non-medical staff often conducts this therapy, our clinic is dedicated to having a doctor or nurse perform the treatment.
Dr. Kass relies on a comprehensive approach to treating erectile dysfunction and helping men looking to improve sexual performance. During the initial visit, Dr. Kass spends an average of one hour with each patient, conducting a thorough lifestyle and health history review. She then orders a comprehensive blood panel in order to thoroughly evaluate a patient’s health - looking at everything from testosterone levels and thyroid function to cardiovascular health, all of which can contribute to ED.
Most patients typically begin treatment on their first day. During a follow-up visit, Dr. Kass reviews lab work as well as other variables that may be contributing to ED. Depending on the unique needs of the patient, Dr. Kass may combine shockwave therapy treatments with the platelet-rich plasma (P-Shot) for maximum results.
Using the best TECHNOLOGY
Dr. Kass uses “radial” and “focused” shockwave devices, both FDA-approved for musculoskeletal issues. Over 40 studies support the efficacy of shockwave therapy for ED, most using a focused shockwave device. Dr. Kass employs radial and focused devices - both manufactured by Storz Medical, an industry leader which leverages over 75 years of medical research and development. These are both “classified medical” devices and can only be purchased and overseen by a medical professional.
Whereas a focused device is a more powerful device that penetrates deeper into the tissue, the radial device affects shallower tissue. Whereas the focused device casts a shockwave similar to a laser beam, the radial device that transmits a wider, shallower beam. The focused shockwave device, with the support of the majority of the literature, creates a deeper and more intense response in the tissue - making it more effective at treating moderate to severe cases of ED than the radial device. Most clinics don’t offer focused shockwave therapy - likely because these devices are more costly and mandate that doctors or registered nurses - with a higher level medical experience - operate them. Dr. Kass is dedicated to providing the most effective and evidence-based solutions, so she offers both radial and focused shockwave therapy.
Ever since GAINSWave therapy became popular in this country, many companies began developing sub-standard devices that they say are capable of treating ED. Several are even sold directly to consumers - and can even be purchased on Amazon! However, men should keep in mind that the efficacy of these devices has not been medically proven and they should be used with extreme caution, if at all.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GAINSWAVE AND OTHER ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION TREATMENTS
GAINSWave may seem too good to be true - but the science and results are real.
shockwave therapy:
Doesn’t involve any surgery or drugs
Is non-invasive, with few or no known side effects
Provides significant, long-lasting results
Is a simple in-office procedure taking only 20-30 minutes with no downtime
Addresses the root cause of ED: poor blood flow
STUDIES PROVE EFFECTIVENESS OF GAINSWAVE SHOCKWAVE THERAPY
For over 15 years, GAINSWave therapy, or shockwave therapy, has been a highly successful treatment in Europe. In Japan and China, this therapy is being used to address coronary artery issues, helping blood flow more effectively in the heart. And shockwave therapy is a proven mechanism that aids in vasodilation, as evidenced by these two studies:
Extracorporeal shock wave therapy for ischemic cardiovascular disorders
Cardiac shockwave therapy in patients with chronic refractory angina pectoris
In addition, more than 40 controlled studies demonstrate that GAINSWave’s shockwave treatment is highly effective. Here are a select few:
Penile Shock Wave Therapy Helps Men With Severe Erectile Dysfunction
Low-intensity Extracorporeal Shock Wave Treatment Improves Erectile Function
